A school board election will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2026, as there are two candidates vying for District C in Milford School District. Dr. Sara Hale automatically wins the At-Large seat and Scott Fitzgerald the District D seat as they were not opposed. In District C, current board member Cynthia “Cindy” McKenzie will run against Nik Dutta-Roy.
Polls for the election will open at 7 AM and close at 8 PM. In order to vote in the election, individuals must be a citizen of the United States and the State of Delaware. They must also live within the boundaries of Milford School District and be 18 years of age on or before the day of the election.
All voters must prove identity and address by showing a valid Delaware driver’s license, Delaware ID card or a work ID card with photo and home address. If the address on the driver’s license is not in Milford School District, the voter will need to provide U.S. postal material with their name and street address, a vehicle registration card or recent utility bill.
Only residents who live in District C are eligible to vote in this election. Area C covers the southeast portion of the district, stretching from the Mispillion River/Swan Creek area, down Route 113 near Lincoln and southeast through Slaughter Beach. The boundary starts where the Mispillion River enters the Delaware Bay, moves west along the river to Swan Creek, then south along Route 113 to Herring Branch near Lincoln.
