The Run for the Arts 5K, benefitting Mispillion Art League will take place Saturday, November 1 in downtown Milford starting at 9 AM. Registration begins at 8 AM.
“It is an out and back course starting and ending at Memorial Park. Registration will take place in the park next to Arena’s and Surf Bagel,” Julie Wagner, one of the organizers of the event said. “The course will travel through the park and around Goat Island.”
The event includes a 5k run and a 1M fun walk. There will be awards at a ceremony hosted by Park Place. Awards will be for overall and master champions as well as the top three finishers for each age group. Age groups include 9 & Up; 10-13; 14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 & Up.
Results produced by the Seashore Striders using the Chronotrack B Chip. This is the eighth Run for the Arts in Milford.
Mispillion Art League was founded in 2004 as a non-profit without a dedicated building, moving to a physical location on Front Street in 2007. Later, the organization moved to 5 North Walnut Street. Over the years, the league has grown significantly, still with a commitment to bring quality visual arts to the community through exhibition and exhibits.
