Registration open for Milford Parks & Recreation Summer Fun Club

on April 18, 2025
Terry Rogers

Registration is now open for the popular Milford Parks & Recreation Summer Fun Club. The club begins June 23 and runs through August 2, 2025. Children attend from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM Monday through Friday.

Breakfast and lunch are provided Monday through Thursday by Milford School District and children should bring lunch on Friday. All students should wear tennis shoes and open toe shoes are not permitted for safety reasons. Activities are often outdoors so children should also bring sunscreen.

Many activities are planned during the Summer Fun Club, including trips to waterparks. On those days, children should have appropriate swimming attire, but every day parents should be sure their children are dressed for the weather.

Parents must check in participants every day and a note must be provided if a parent needs to pick a child up early. The program is held at Mispillion Elementary School Monday through Thursday and at the Parks & Recreation Building on Friday.

Children must adhere to a discipline policy with the first offense earning a verbal warning and parents made aware. The second offense will result in a written warning and parent notification. The third offense will result in expulsion with no refund given.

Once your child is registered, if you find you need to cancel enrollment, please notify the office as soon as possible. A formal notice must be made two weeks prior to the start of the camp week. A refund will be issued if the request to cancel is approved and those made after the two-week deadline will not receive a refund.

The Summer Fun Club is a great way for children to participate in fun projects play games and go on fun adventures. Once you register, Parks & Recreation asks that you print out a receipt. A required liability and registration form will be sent via email which must be returned to Milford Parks and Recreation, 207 Franklin Street, Milford, DE 19963. It can also be emailed to Doreen Wrightman at [email protected].

The cost of the Summer Fun Club is $150 per week and children are separated into age groups. The age groups are 6 and 7; 8 and 9; 10 and 11. Registration is available online.

If you have any questions, please contact Milford Parks & Recreation at 302-422-1104.
