Milford Times accepts political advertisement contracts from candidates, political action committees and political parties. Fees for all advertisements are as follows:
Header Advertisement – $150 per month
Footer Advertisement – $100 per month
Side Advertisement – $50 per month
Header and footer advertisements will be placed on the category page chosen by the advertiser. Advertising categories include:
Art and Culture – stories about history, events, theatre and the art scene around Milford
Health – stories that relate to health and wellness
Government – focuses on governmental decisions that pertain to Milford
Home and Family – gardening, home improvement and other helpful information for families
Outdoors – all things pertaining to the outdoors and the environment in the Milford area.
Business – new businesses coming to town, updates on current businesses and more
History – a look back at historical events, people and businesses in our town
Education – focuses on decisions by the local school board, events at schools and other educational-related items.
Sports – Coverage of Milford sports, including Milford High School, Milford Middle School, Milford Parks & Recreation plus more
Police and Fire – reports on crime and other features related to first responders
In Memoriam – remembering those that were lost over the past week
Side ads will appear randomly throughout the website and in This Week in Milford sent out every Friday. Header ads will appear as a full page ad and footer ads as a half-page ad in This Week in Milford.
Advertiser can change categories during the life of the contract with at least one week notice of when they want the change to take place.
Advertisers can create their own ads and submit them for publication or Milford Times can create them and provide a proof for approval. Allow 24 hours for all new ads to appear online. Ads submitted before Thursday at 8 AM will appear in that Friday’s edition of This Week in Milford.
All political advertising contracts must be paid in full at the signing of the agreement. An invoice will be sent upon receipt of the signed contract and can be paid online or by check mailed to the address on the invoice.
All political advertisements must comply with applicable federal, state and local laws, including required disclaimers such as “Paid for by..” or “Candidate (name) approves this message.” Advertiser is solely responsible for the accuracy, legality and completeness of all disclosures.
Publisher will place a disclaimer that they do not endorse any political candidate, party or position below political ads.
