Milford Police Department reported to a hit and run motor vehicle incident on February 1, 2025, at approximately 6:44 PM. A vehicle struck several fixed objects as well as other vehicles, causing damage.

A short time later, residents in the Meadows of Shawnee reported a suspicious vehicle on Meadow Lark Drive, leading officers to respond. The vehicle had heavy front-end damage that may have been caused by the earlier hit and run incident. Reports were that a white female fled the vehicle.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered that the vehicle had been stolen from Dover and located the suspect, Staci Weldon, 35, of Dagsboro. She was charged with receiving stolen property over $1,500, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal mischief under $1,000 and several traffic violations.

It was also discovered that Weldon was wanted by the Delaware State Police and had several court capias for her arrest. She had a presentment through the Justice of the Piece Court 7 where she was committed to the Department of Correction on an $11,000 cash bond and $5,201 secured bond.
