Bayhealth announced that they recently welcomed Sunny Mehrotra, MD, to their Palliative Care team. Mehrotra is a fellowship-trained physician who will join Theresa Latorre-Tegtmeier, DNP, NP-C; Robin L. Maracle, AGCNS-BC; Holly Browne, ANP-BC and Jessica A. Taylor, FNP-C. The practice is located in Dover.

Palliative care is a specialized medical field designed to help those living with serious illness and focuses on relieving symptoms, pain and stress to improve quality of life for patients and their families. It provides an extra layer of support combined with curative treatment at any stage of illness and is not limited to end-of-life.
Prior to joining Bayhealth, Mehrotra completed a hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, New Jersey. After completing his family medicine residency at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville in Kentucky, he spent five years practicing outpatient family medicine at Paducah Family Medicine with Mercy Health in Paducah, Kentucky. He earned his medical degree from st. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies.
