Paige’s Kindness Project, started by Paige Howell as an effort to assist homeless people she saw in Milford, has just launched a fundraiser to help promote Paige’s mission to treat everyone with kindness. The fundraiser is a collage picture frame with $500 worth of gift cards from various merchants.
“We have our Fundraiser starting tomorrow Sept 1! Picture Frame has $500.00 worth of Gift Cards,” a recent social media post announced. “6- Tickets -$5.00 -12-Tickets $10.00 and a whopping 30- Tickets for $20.00 — what a deal!”
This is the large fundraiser for the organization for the year and they hope to raise enough to support their efforts through the winter. Proceeds go directly to Paige’s mission and to continue holiday activities this year.
“The funds go toward so many of the projects we are passionate about,” Gabby Ruijne, a volunteer with the group, said. “Supporting random acts of kindness, helping stock the “Victim’s Closet” at the Milford Police Department, assisting students in the Milford School District, providing for our senior citizens and helping underserved members of our community, including individuals of all ability levels.”
Looking ahead, Paige’s Kindness Project is gearing up for the holidays as Paige believes that is the time of year to show love and kindness, although she lives that mission every day of the year. She began her career of kindness volunteering for Milford Advocacy for the Homeless, but soon expanded her reach.
“I just started doing random acts of kindness around the community,” Paige said in an interview a few years ago. “Like, dropping things off to sick people. I also make baskets for people.”
The fundraiser details can be found on the Paige’s Kindness Project Facebook page. To purchase tickets, payment can be made through Paypal using [email protected]; CashApp by using $lilliankfrey or VENMO by using @lillian-frey. “We will come to you,” the Facebook post reads. “Please include a phone number if paying cash through one of our pay sources so we are able to send pictures of your tickets to you.
The drawing date for the fundraiser has not been announced, but Paige added that they “always have a second and third prize.” In fact, a second prize, a “Home Sweet Home” wreath has already been added.
