Homecoming week kicked off at Milford School District this week with special Spirit Week Days at all schools. The week will end with the homecoming game on Friday, October 17 and the dance on Saturday, October 18. A parade is planned for Friday from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.
On Tuesday, October 14, elementary schools kicked off Spirit Week with Flannel and Denim Day with students and staff sporting their favorite flannel and denim clothing. Milford Central Academy began the week with Sports Day.
Elementary schools continued the week on Wednesday with Wacky Tacky Day with MCA celebrating with Holiday Day. Thursday at elementary schools had staff and students dressed for Throwback Thursday with MCA celebrating with Class Color Day. The week ends on Friday with all schools celebrating with Spirit Day, sporting their maroon and gold.
The Homecoming Parade will step off at 5:30 PM on Friday at the Milford Middle School. It will travel down Seabury Avenue to Walnut Street, ending at Brigg’s Stadium around 6:30 PM.
The Homecoming Game promises to be a battle this year as the Bucs take on Lake Forest in the highly competitive Battle of the Bell. The game begins at 7 PM at Brigg’s Stadium. Delmarva Sport Network will live stream the game allowing those who cannot attend to watch the game on YouTube. Link to the game by visiting the district website. Tickets to the game must be purchased online and are $6 per person. Students with a valid school ID get in free.
The Homecoming Dance will take place at Milford High School on Saturday starting at 7 PM.
