
A 32-year-old man, identified as Kyle Tribble of Philadelphia, died of a gunshot wound in the 7500 block of Wickersham Lane in Milford on Thursday, July 10.
On July 12, Joseph M. Greene, 42, was charged in connection with what has been called a domestic-related homicide. According to police, officers responded to the residence around 10:21 PM after the shooting was reported. Witnesses on the scene had begun CPR and EMS units continued lifesaving measures when they arrived. However, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
According to witnesses, the victim and Greene were involved in an argument which resulted in the shooting.
On July 11, at approximately 6:45 PM, Greene was taken into custody with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force and the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team (S.O.R.T.) in Bear, Delaware.
Greene was charged with murder in the first degree, possession of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He had presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court 7 where he was committed to the Department of Correction on $710,000 cash bond. Greene was ordered to appear at a later date in the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas.
Milford Police Department thanked the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force, Delaware State Police and Delaware Department of Justice for their assistance in the investigation and arrest of Greene.
