

A Milford woman was among three arrested on July 29 in Georgetown after the Georgetown Police Department the Sussex County Drug Unit and the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force executed a search warrant in the 20000 block of Savannah Road. Jamie Reed, 26, of Milford, along with Gary Jefferson, 52, and Paul Sample, 54, of Georgetown were arrested.
The search warrant was obtained after an investigation into Jefferson and Sample’s distribution of illegal narcotics. During the warrant, 18 people were detained, including Reed, Sample and Jefferson. A search of the detainees, vehicles and property resulted in the discovery of $723 in suspected drug proceeds, crack cocaine, medroxyprogesterone, valacyclovir, bupropion, gabapentin, tadalafil, olanzapine, spironolactone, a digital scale and drug paraphernalia.
Five of the 18 detained were arrested for misdemeanor offenses and capias warrants. The rest were released without incident. Jefferson, Reed and Sample were taken to Troop 4 and charged with multiple crimes.
Reed was charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance tiers 1 and 2 as well as possession of drug paraphernalia. She was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $24,500 secured bond.

Jefferson was charged with maintaining a drug property and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arranged by Justice of the Peace 2 and released on $1,500 unsecured bond.
Sample was charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $3,500 unsecured bond.
