Milford School District recently recognized their February Treasures, staff members nominated by their peers who exemplify qualities that align with the district’s strategic plan.

Alberto Domingo, a social studies teacher at Milford Central Academy, makes learning the subject fun while also providing instruction in Spanish. Domingo makes connections with his students and encourages them to learn new things every day. He views the students as future leaders and promotes their success in the classroom every day.

Cami Morgan, World Language Teacher at Milford High School, helps her students know wrong from right. Students say she puts passion into her teaching and treats all students in their classes as her own.

Andrea Cook teaches math at Milford High School and sets rigorous, high standards for her students. It is her goal that every student aim for excellence but create lessons that meet the needs of the very diverse student body at the high school. Cook spends a lot of time after school ensuring that students get the support they need and genuinely cares for those in her classroom, as well as students who do not have her as a teacher.

Katherine Snyder teaches fifth grade at Lulu M. Ross Elementary School and is known for going above and beyond in the classroom as well as out. She has been known to work one-on-one with students who suffer from learning disabilities in order to help them succeed. Recently, she stepped in and provided medical assistance during a student’s neurologic medical emergency.
These staff members deserve recognition for going above and beyond to help Milford School District students succeed. Milford School District provides safe, supportive and rigorous education in order to prepare learners to grow and thrive in a global society. The four main focuses of the district are academic excellence, supporting the whole student, empowering and investing in their staff and building the future.
