Milford Public Library seeks applicants for a Board of Trustee position

Milford Public Library is seeking a candidate to complete a partial two-year term on their Board of Trustees starting July 1, 2025. At the end of the two-year term, the Trustee may renew service for an additional five-year term.

“Applicants must live within Milford School District in either Kent or Sussex County,” Lea Rosell, Executive Director, said. “Applicants with experience or interest in fund-raising and legislative advocacy are preferred but not required.”

The Board of Trustees governs the library and seeks to represent a broad spectrum of community interests and occupations. Trustees oversee the library’s management as community representatives in partnership with the Library Director. Trustees assist in creating policies and are expected to act as organizational fiduciaries and champions.

Regular meetings are held monthly during regular business hours with special meetings scheduled as needed.

Letters of interest that include personal and professional history, what drives the applicant’s desire to serve the community as well as any other skills that would be an asset to the library to Lea Rosell, Library Director, [email protected] no later than Friday, May 23, 2025.

Questions can be directed at Rosell at 302-412-4400.
