Milford Parks and Recreation recently announced their spring sports for 2025. There are sports for both adults and youth. Volunteers are always needed for programs.
Adult pickleball will run from March 31 through May 19 at the Memorial Park Pickleball Court. It is a pickleball doubles league and players must sign up with their partner during enrollment. Partners must be one male and one female player, and the league runs for eight weeks with one game each week per team.
Parks & Recreation staff remind everyone that this is not a USAPA sanctioned league so it will not operate under those constraints. Instead, a leaderboard is used and explained upon sign up. Paddles are not provided. Staff also requests that only those who can commit to the entire season enroll as the integrity of the league is dependent on participants being present for their matches. An automatic forfeit is issued if a team is unable to make their match.
Games run from 5 to 8 PM and the cost is $60 per person. Sign up is available by clicking here.

Although there are youth soccer leagues for ages 5 through 10, those programs have a waiting list for this year. There is still space for children 11 to 14. The first practice is April 1 and games are on Saturday from 10 to 11 AM. Practices are on Tuesdays from 5 to 6 PM. All games and practices are in Tony Silicato Memorial Park and the cost is $65 per child.

There is also a waitlist for the spring field hockey league and flag football this year. Girls’ basketball for ages 8 to 14 has space available. The program runs for nine weeks with the first practices on March 25. Girls must attend one practice and one game each week with the season consisting of seven games. It is a full court 5v5 format with two practice time slots. The first is 6:30 to 7:30 PM and the second is 7:30 to 8:30 PM. Practices and games are at the Boys & Girls Club. Games start April 3 with the same time slots as practice. The cost is $75 per child.

The Tiny Tykes Multi Sport program is for three- and four-year-old children who learn basic motor skills in various sports. Parents must be present and active, assisting their toddler with preset drills. The program runs April 9 through May 7 from 5 to 5:45 PM at Tony Silicato Memorial Park. The cost is $50 per child.
