Born on January 13, 1932, in Milford, Delaware, Mills dedicated his life to his family’s farm, starting the rigorous task of milking cows at just three years old. His commitment spanned an impressive 85 years, demonstrating his deep-rooted connection to the land and the agriculture of Delaware.
Throughout his life, Mills was known for his way with words, always ready to share a story or a laugh with those around him. He fostered a warm presence that left a lasting impact on everyone he met. A cherished member of Calvary Church in Milford since childhood, he was a true Delaware native whose life was steeped in community values.
In addition to his farming life, Mills enjoyed dancing with his wife, joyfully participating in the Diamond State Twirlers and the Round Dance Club. His proudest accomplishments reflect a life well-lived, filled with love, family, and community involvement.
