Milford Little League offers a $25 refund from registration fees to families who volunteer their time for the organization. The deadline to request the refund is August 1.
Volunteer opportunities include team managers and coaches, team “mom’s” or assistant coaches and umpires. In addition, families who participate in fund raisers, like Donate the Date, Yeti Cooler Raffle and Crab Raffles. Families can sign up for the fundraisers at the concession stand or online.
Volunteers who participated in Little League Clean-up Day on April 5 are also eligible for the refund.
Volunteering at the concession stand is another way to earn the refund. Concession volunteers must be 18 and a parent, friend, sibling or other family member may volunteer on behalf of a player or family. Opportunities are available on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the season. If a game is rained out, the volunteer must choose a new date and time to volunteer.
In order to receive the refund, volunteers must achieve the following goals. Volunteer six hours and not participate in any fundraisers; volunteer four hours and raise a minimum of $75 in fundraisers; volunteer two hours and raise a minimum of $150 in fundraisers; or no volunteer hours and raise $250 minimum in fundraisers.
