We are a brand new, fully online news source located in Milford, Delaware. We are seeking a part-time Marketing Director to take over selling advertising for our paper. This is a commission-only position currently, but the right candidate will move into a full salaried plus commission level with demonstrated success.
Responsibilities will include:
- Establishing relationships with local businesses to acquire new accounts
- Assist businesses in creating advertising copy and graphics
- Help develop advertising rate sheets and promotional campaigns for Milford Times
- Create holistic digital marketing solutions using website, weekly newspaper and social media accounts to grow business engagement
- Create fully integrated marketing campaigns to deliver strong ROI for clients
- Grow Milford Times advertising revenue with the goal of expanding the brand to other towns in Delaware
Successful candidates must demonstrate:
- A willingness to grow with the organization
- The ability to execute the sales process from start to finish
- Be organized, analytical and interpretive regarding advertising statistics
- Able to work independently
- Proficiency with computers, software, new technologies and online news sources
- Enthusiastic, positive and creative
- Commitment to personal growth and training
- Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
This is a work-from-home position with flexible hours. The initial compensation percentage is negotiable and based on ad revenue received. The job will require the marketing director to visit and meet with businesses in order to provide them with details on how Milford Times can help them grow. The right candidate will grow this into a full-time, salaried position with the potential for benefits.
