Milford High School’s Gregory Lockett was named a 2025 Delaware Mini Max Award winner by the Maxwell Football Club. Lockett was only one of 46 student-athletes from across Delaware selected for this prestigious honor.
Founded in 1935, the Maxwell Football Club is the oldest football organization of its kind in the nation and is known for recognizing excellence not only in athletic performance, but also in academics, leadership and community service. Lockett is now a candidate for Delaware Player of the Year which will be announced February 1.
Lockett is a standout multi-sport athlete at Milford, excelling in football and wrestling. He recently achieved his 100th career wrestling victory and has been recognized for his exceptional performance and leadership.
On the football team, Lockett rushed this season for 408 yards and scored four touchdowns for the Bucs. On the wrestling team, Lockett is top ranked at 285 pounds.
“We congratulate Gregory Lockett on this outstanding achievement,” Trish Gerken, Public Information Officer for Milford School District, said. “We commend him for representing our school with excellence on the field, in the classroom and in the community.”
