Kent-Sussex Industries recently released photos of the next phase of their redesign

Kent-Sussex Industries recently released photos of their transformative redesign project in the Milford Skills Development area. The next stage of transforming the vocational area began in March.

“It’s an ongoing process of transforming the center into a more effective skill education environment,” Heath Chasanov, CEO, said. “We are excited to begin this next section that will create beautiful spaces for Pre-Vocational Training Program participants as well as our new Life Skills Training Center which will impact a wide range of individuals. We will soon set our sights on updating a majority portion of the north end of the center as well.”

Changes to the area will help participants get fuel for improvement in an atmosphere of dignity, quiet and comfort. The organization plans to expand their services to offer life skills which will have far reaching implications beyond KSI.

“We are very grateful for the financial support coming from community organizations and individuals in recent months,” Chasanov said. “The funding support has been critical to making meaningful experiences for the people we serve, whether it is adding technology to make access easier or creating unique growth experiences. With uncertainty about Medicaid going forward which provides a large amount of funding for Delaware disability services, growing more community-based support for what we do is a larger concern than ever before.”

Anyone who wishes to donate to KSI can do so by visiting their website.
