Norman “Norm” Madison Remick, Jr. passed away at his home in Lincoln on October 16, 2025. He was 94.
Born June 1, 1931, in Ossipee, New Hampshire, the son of Norman M. Remick, Sr. and Ethel Evans Remick. Remick served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict as a photographer, an experience that shaped his perspective on life and service to others.
After leaving the military, Remick forged a successful career selling printer equipment for Pitman Co. During his time there, he was known for his caring nature and ability to connect with everyone he met. According to his family, he never met a stranger.
Remick earned his GED at the age of 72 having left school in order to join the Army.
A devoted member of Avenue United Methodist Church, Remick found community and purpose there. After he retired, he dedicated himself to volunteering, with the church and with Meals on Wheels. This exemplified his commitment to helping those in need. At the age of 88, Remick began providing medical equipment to the community through the Milford Lions Club as the Director of Medical Equipment.
Remick was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Norman M. “Matt” Remick III; his daughter, Norma Ann Remick; his sister, Norma Ann Blake; and his brother, James Evans Remick.
He is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Mildred “Millie” Louise Autry Remick who will cherish his legacy; his sister-in-law, Martha Vienneau; his great niece, Jennifer Clark, and his granddaughter, Rachel Massre and her husband, David.
“As we reflect on Norman’s life, we remember a man who lived with love, purpose and a profound sense of duty to others,” his obituary reads. “His spirit will continue to inspire family, friends and all who had the privilege to know him.”
