On Saturday, August 16, the lawn of the Causey Mansion was filled with “hippies” enjoying live music and sporting their 1960s wardrobe. The event, a fundraiser for the Milford Museum, is the largest fundraiser for the organization.
“This is always a great event and it seems like everyone gets into that 60s “vibe” every year,” Tom Summers, Director of the Milford Museum said. “The Funsters are always a good time and bring the excitement with the assistance of DJ Dana McDonald.”
Attendees were able to enjoy the beautiful grounds of the Causey Mansion by bringing a blanket or chair to enjoy the music. Few remained in those chairs, however, as there was a lot of dancing to the band.
“We are always grateful for the support we get from the community,” Summers said. “We are happy to be able to give everyone a night where they can enjoy live music while supporting our efforts to preserve the past.”
