
Douglas Moore, 18, of Harrington, was arrested on May 22 after police officers were called to the parking lot of Milford Movies 9 with reports of a stolen vehicle.
According to police, Moore and a second suspect allegedly stole two vehicles from the parking lot on May 20, setting one on fire after it was stolen. The State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the arson. An investigation revealed Moore as one of the suspects, but the second is still unknown.
Moore was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, attempted theft of a motor vehicle, conspiracy 2nd degree and criminal mischief. He was presented to Justice of the Peace Court 2 where he was released on $7,000 unsecured bail although investigators requested a secured bail be issued. Moore will appear in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas for a preliminary hearing at a future date.
