
Milford Police Department responded to Game Stop on North Dupont Boulevard on June 11 after a reported armed robbery. According to witnesses, a white male wearing a blue hoodie and black mask entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect fled the store before obtaining any cash.
Officers, the Milford Police Department K9 unit and the Delaware State Police Aviation unit searched for the suspect but could not locate him. The investigation discovered the discarded firearm, which was found to be a BB gun, behind the building. The suspect was reported to have gotten into a red Ford Escape before fleeing.
The investigation revealed the suspect was a 16-year-old from Harrington. He was taken into custody at his residence without incident.
He was charged with attempted robbery first degree; aggravated menacing; wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony; and tampering with physical evidence. He was presented through Justice of the Peace Court 7 and issued a $74,000 unsecured bail. He was ordered to be GPS-monitored by juvenile probation. He was released to a guardian and will appear later in Kent County Family Court.
