Fatal pedestrian crash under investigation

on April 3, 2025
Terry Rogers

At approximately 8:12 PM on March 27, a black Honda Accord traveling northbound on North Dupont Blvd in the area of North Street Extended struck a 78-year-old female pedestrian who entered the traffic path of the vehicle. The reasons the pedestrian entered the traffic lane were unclear. The driver of the car stopped immediately and called 911.

There were no injuries to the 30-year-old driver and EMS performed lifesaving measures on the pedestrian, but she was pronounced dead at the scene. The highway was closed for over three hours while the investigation was underway.
