No letter published should be construed as the opinion of Milford Times staff, editors or owners.
Letters to the editor will not appear on the front page of our website, but will appear on the Express Your Opinion page. They will also be shared on social media and in This Week in Milford.
Rules for letters to the editor:
- Only letters pertaining to Milford and the surrounding areas will be published.
- NO letters related to state or national politics will be published.
- Please be civil. Letters that demonize, bully, humiliate, Insult harass or threaten others will not be edited or published. Repeated violations of this rule could result in the writer being banned from submitting letters in the future.
- Base opinions on fact. If possible, cite sources if there may be a question about the truth.
- Always state that this is your opinion and do not misrepresent someone else’s opinion as your own.
- Keep things private. Do not use this forum to release private information about someone else.
- Please keep letters as brief as possible, the recommended length is less than 400 words.
- Letters must contain your name and hometown.
All letters should be sent to [email protected] or mailed to PO Box 514, Milford DE, 19963. Letters received before Wednesday, will appear in that week’s This Week In Milford edition. Anything received after Wednesday will appear in the following week.
All letters must be typewritten. Handwritten letters will not be accepted.
Milford Times reserves the right not to publish any letter due to space limitations.
