Downtown Milford Inc. will hold a business forum on Monday, October 27 at 4 PM at the Milford Police Station Community Room. The forum is designed for businesses to provide feedback on their needs in the downtown area and to learn more about the services Downtown Milford Inc. offers.
“We are excited to meet with the downtown business owners and managers to learn what challenges they face, what is going well and how we can help them with some of those challenges,” Sade Truiett, Downtown Milford Coordinator, said. “Our main goal at Downtown Milford Inc. is to grow our downtown into an area where people want to work, live and play.”
At the forum, presentations will be made by Delaware Small Business Association and Main Street, providing information on tools available for businesses as well as details on what it means to be a Main Street accredited program. Downtown Milford Inc. is one of only four Main Street accredited programs in Delaware.
“We are also seeking feedback on our spring and summer events,” Truiett said. “We want to know how our Farmer’s Market, Bug and Bud Festival as well as First Fridays benefitted the downtown businesses as well as their suggestions on what could be done better.”
The meeting is free to attend and any business in Milford is welcome to attend. Although this is designed for downtown businesses, the Downtown Milford Boundary extends outside of Walnut and Washington Streets. If you are not sure if your business is within the boundary, contact Downtown Milford Inc. via email or call 302-393-6808.
