The Delaware Diabetes Coalition will host its 23rd Annual Diabetes Wellness Expo on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bayhealth Conference Center at Blue Hen, 665 Bay Road in Dover. The free event is open to the public and aims to empower Delawareans with tools and information to better manage diabetes and live healthier lives.
“The Diabetes Wellness Expo is a cornerstone event for our community,” said a spokesperson for the Delaware Diabetes Coalition. “Each year, we bring together healthcare professionals, local organizations, and individuals living with diabetes to share knowledge, build connections, and promote overall wellness.”
Held annually in November during National Diabetes Month, the Expo features more than 35 exhibitors and health screeners, along with an educational program led by medical experts. This year’s keynote presentation, “Grief, Mourning, Change, and a Diagnosis of Diabetes,” will be delivered by Nancy Gugerty of Nemours. A panel discussion, “Diabetes Goes High Tech: VR, Wearables and AI You Can Use Today,” will explore how emerging technology can assist in diabetes management.
Attendees can take advantage of free health services, including diabetes and blood pressure screenings, stress assessments, foot exams, and vaccinations. A complimentary boxed lunch will be provided by the Food Bank of Delaware, with desserts from River Kitchen Company and She Rices. Proceeds will benefit the Food Bank’s Culinary School.
“This event is about education, prevention, and community support,” said the spokesperson. “Whether you’re newly diagnosed, caring for a loved one, or simply want to learn more about prevention, there’s something valuable for everyone.”
The Expo is made possible through the support of several sponsors, including the Diabetes & Heart Disease Prevention & Control Program, The TJX Companies, Inc., AmeriHealth Caritas Delaware, Bayhealth, Beebe Healthcare, Delaware Community Foundation, Delaware First Health, GRAIL, PhRMA, and TidalHealth.
