Anyone who has ridden into Lincoln on Johnson Road off of Route 113 has noticed the home of Greg and Beck with their unique collection of yard decorations. On April 29, the couple lost everything but the clothes on their backs when a fire, which started in their garage, swept through their property.
“The blaze claimed their entire residence, all of their belongings and displaced both the couple and their five beloved dogs,” Valerie Killinger, who organized a GoFundMe for the couple, said. “In the wake of this tragedy, the community is coming together to support Greg and Beck as they begin the difficult journey of rebuilding their lives. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference and goes directly toward helping them recover.”
In addition to the GoFundMe, Killinger is collecting clothing for the couple, asking for men’s size 12 shoes, large or extra-large shorts, sweatpants or pajama pants, extra-large shirts large or extra-large underwear and socks. They are also asking for women’s size five-and-a-half shoes, medium or large tops and pants, socks and undergarments. The couple also needs toiletries, dog beds and leashes.

To date, the GoFundMe has raised $1,962 of the $10,000 goal.
“Greggo and Becca are a strong, hard-working couple. The loss of their home is devastating,” Dawn Smith commented on the GoFundMe. “We have a camper they can have. Sealed, dry, no leaks. Sleeps five, full bath, kitchen as well as heat and air conditioning. Electric, water and sewer hookup ready.”
Many people reached out with condolences on the couple’s loss. Murder Mystery Delmarva commented that they “sobbed” on the way to work this morning as photos did not do the damage justice.
“I know Greg and Becca personally and saw this from my work,” Christine Densmore said. “I saw this from my work and it is so very sad. Did not know at the time it was their home.”
