Nancy Jane Morgan left this life peacefully on February 9 in Milford. She was 75.
Born November 24, 1950, Nancy was the beloved daughter of Avery M. and Sally J. Lambert. She graduated from St. Michael’s High School in 1968 and went on to build a life centered around hard work, family devotion and quite joy.
Throughout her career, Nancy contributed talents to multiple businesses in town, including Milford Stitching Company, Caulk Dentsply, Walmart and Royal Farms. Her dedication and work ethic were evident in any role she took on.
Her heart was always with her family and Nancy leaves behind her daughter, Jacqueline “Jackie” Hollingsworth and her son-in-law, Mike Hollingsworth, who she lived with for the past 25 years. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tiffany Broome (Justin); Michael Hollingsworth (Lin); Shannon Geyer (Zeph); and Mark Hollingsworth (Alexis). Her great-grandchildren, Skylar Broome, Isabelle Hollingsworth, Andy Geyer, Lillian Hollingsworth, Wyatt Geyer and Elizabeth Hollingsworth also survive her.
Nancy shared a close bond with her siblings who also survive her, Kenny Lambert (Henrietta) of Hampton, Virginia; Elizabeth “Beth” Gowe (Larry) of McDaniel, Maryland. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and “bonus children and grandchildren in the community whom she loved dearly. Nancy was especially close to her nieces, Sara Tyler and Meghaan Lane, who was her Goddaughter.
Nancy was preceded in death by her cherished husband John “Jack” Morgan. She was also preceded in death by her brother Robert “Bobby” Lambert who she was close to.
Finding joy in the simple things in life, Nancy loved spending time with family who was always at the center of her world. She had a passion for needlework, especially crochet, and could be found reading or enjoying a shopping trip or meal out at a favorite restaurant. She delighted in amusement parks and RV camping adventures, auctions, road trips with her sister, Beth, to Williamsburg, Virginia and North Carolina to visit family. She never missed an opportunity to support anything her grandchildren were involved in.
Gentle and kind-hearted, Nancy always put family first. Her presence brought warmth to every gathering and comfort to those around her. May her memory be a comfort to all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held February 28, 2026, at 1 PM at the Lincoln Community Church, 8630 3rd Street, Lincoln. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Chesapeake Chrysalis, c/o Joe Shockley, 16510 Retreat Circle, Milford DE 19963.
