
Milford Police Department arrested Joshua Kenton, 35, of Milford for a burglary committed at the Shell Gas Station on Dupont Boulevard. The robbery was reported at 1:05 PM, but occurred just before 3 AM.
Officers made contact with the reporting person and learned that a white male suspect entered the gas station around 3 AM after throwing a rock through the entrance door which caused it to shatter. He then stole a large quantity of cigarettes and pre-roll products from the store before fleeing. The officers identified the suspect as Kent and obtained a warrant.
Kenton was located in the area of Haven Lake and taken into custody without incident. He was charged with burglary in the third degree, theft of $1500 and criminal mischief under $1000. He had presentment through Justice of the Peace Court 2.
Officers requested bail for Kenton but he was released on $5,100 unsecured bond with a no contact order for the business. Kenton will appear at a. later time in Kent County Court of Common Pleas for a preliminary hearing.
