William “Frenchie” Poulin passed away at Bayhealth on December 29, 2025. He was 76.
Poulin was born May 2, 1949, in West Warwick, Rhode Island to the late William and Lucienne Poulin. He graduated from Scituate High School in 1968 and joined the United States Air Force in 1969.
Poulin honorably served his country until 1975, serving in Vietnam and later at Dover Air Force Base where he met and married the love of his life, Peggy. After leaving the Air Force, the couple moved to Bowers Beach where he started Frenchie’s Dock. Poulin served as the Mayor of Bowers Beach for many years.
Poulin enjoyed fishing, gardening, Eagles football, stray cats, but most of all his family and the people of Bowers Beach.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Georgette Dion.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 year, Peggy, his daughters, Jennifer Robbins, Joy Eanes and her husband Kevin, as well as Jodi Price and her husband, Geroge. His grandchildren, Connor, Chloe, Grace, Griffin, Grady and Georgie also survive him along with sisters Lillian Poulin and Rolande Fecteau. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Robers Hovatter Funeral Home on Saturday January 10 at 11 AM. Visitation begins at 10 AM. The funeral home is located at 301 Lakeview Avenue, Milford.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in the name of Frenchie Poulin to the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.
