The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford celebrated the end of 2025 by giving back to organizations that support the Milford community. The donations were part of the proceeds from various events over the past year, including the Riverwalk Freedom Festival and Tastes of Milford Holiday Auction.
“We are very pleased to be able to support these worthwhile organizations,” Jo Schmeiser, Executive Director, said. “Our final donation checks were distributed at the end of the year and we extend heartfelt thanks to the roles these groups played in making our events a success.”
Donations were given to First State Military Academy, located in Clayton, who describes their mission to provide an educational experience that focuses on developing the intellectual, physical and emotional growth of our cadets through the cultivation of an environment that rewards honesty, integrity, teamwork, and commitment. The Chamber presented a check to them for $500.
The Milford Rotary Club received a check for $3,400. The Rotary Club unites more than a million people across the glob, taking action locally and globally. The Milford Rotary Club celebrated their 100th anniversary this year.
“We would also like to thank Milford School District for their continued support of the Chamber each year,” Schmeiser said. “Without our volunteers, community partners and the city, we could not continue to help Milford grow into the best place to work, live and play.”
