You may even stumble upon historical artifacts or family heirlooms you did not know you had. It could be a box of war medals that belonged to a grandfather. These may not only have monetary value but a connection to your family’s past.

Before you move your items into the living area, consider having an antique dealer, auction house or online appraisal service review the item.
