The Friends of the Milford Public Library are celebrating another successful season of book sales, thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of the Greater Milford community.
“Our summer and fall book sales have always enjoyed incredible community support, and this year was no exception,” said Friends President Linda Bonitatibus. “We’re deeply grateful to the many volunteers whose time and dedication make these events possible.”
Each year, proceeds from the Friends’ book sales are reinvested directly into the library to support the purchase of books, DVDs, and other materials, as well as to help fund the library’s free programs for all ages.
“Thanks to the success of our book sales and the community’s continued support, we’re thrilled to share that we exceeded our fundraising goal,” Bonitatibus said. “We were able to donate $12,000 to the library—well above our target of $10,000.”
Those who missed the recent sales will have another chance to browse and buy at the annual Christmas Book Sale, scheduled for December 4–6, 2025.
“We can’t thank our residents enough for their purchases and encouragement,” Bonitatibus added. “Every book bought helps strengthen our library and the services it provides. We look forward to seeing everyone again in December.”
