Although still a month away, the start of school is already on the minds of many. Milford School District spent the summer preparing for the upcoming school year, preparing to welcome students to the newly renovated Milford Middle School as well as bringing children back to schools they recognize from last year.
Evelyn I. Morris Early Childhood Center and Benjamin Banneker Elementary will hold their Teacher Meet and Greet on August 28 with Kindergarten students welcome from 8:30 to 9:15 AM and first graders from 9:30 to 10:15 AM.
Lulu M. Ross Elementary School and Mispillion Elementary will hold Teacher Meet and Greets on August 28 with 2nd grade welcome from 10:30 to 11:15 AM, third grade from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM and 4th grade from 12:30 to 1:15 PM.
Milford Middle School will hold their Teacher Meet and Greet on August 28 with 5th grade welcome from 1:30 to 2:15 PM and 6th grade from 2:30 to 3:15 PM.
Milford Central Academy and Milford High School students and parents may pick up schedules, get Chromebooks and walk through the building to visit classrooms on August 13 from 2 to 7 PM.
Free breakfast and lunch is provided to all students at Milford School District. School supply lists can be found by visiting the families and student section of the website.
Student arrival at Morris Early Childhood Center and Mispillion Elementary School is at 8:35 AM with classes beginning at 8:45 AM. Dismissal for both schools is at 3:50 PM. Ross and Banneker have students arriving at 8:25 AM with classes starting at 8:35 AM. Dismissal is at 3:40 PM.
Milford Middle School and Milford High School have students arriving at 7:15 AM with classes starting at 7:25 AM. Dismissal is at 2:30 PM. Milford Central Academy has students arriving at 7:35 AM with classes starting at 7:45 AM. Dismissal is at 2:50 PM.
Students in grades 11 and 12 must opt-in for bus transportation. The form can be submitted at any time during the year, but the district requests that any student who will need busing on the first day of school have the opt-in form completed as soon as possible. Transportation changes must be made in person or online and must be made prior to August 15 to guarantee bus transportation on the first day of school.
