The 29th Milford Night Out, sponsored by the Milford Police Department, is planned for Tuesday, August 5 from 6 to 8 PM in Bicentennial Park. The event is part of a national effort to promote getting out and celebrating downtown.
“We are always excited to bring Milford Night Out to our citizens,” Chief Cecilia Ashe said. “It is a great night to celebrate the wonderful town of Milford.”
This year, entertainment will be provided by Mike Hines and the Look, one of the most popular dance bands in the area for over three decades. Hines is a 2022 inductee into the Delaware Rock and Roll Society. The band has opened for Dionne Warwick, The Ohio Players, Taylor Dayne, Chris Rock, Al B. Sure, Lisa-Lisa, Naughty by Nature, War and the Sugar Hill Gang. In 1989-1990, Mike Hines and the Look had a recording contract with Atlantic Records and have accumulated multiple awards.
The event is free and there will be public safety displays, a K9 demo along with Greenwood chicken, Grotto Pizza and hot dogs. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to enjoy the music, dance and enjoy a fun evening downtown. The event is sponsored by Perdue Foods, Walmart, Pepsi and Grotto Pizza.
