Veronica Seever will be the keynote speaker at the inaugural Pampering & Partnership Luncheon sponsored by CCGM

The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford (CCGM) announced the inaugural Pampering & Partnerships Luncheon at Big Oyster Brewery in Milford. The event will be held Friday, March 14 from 10 AM to 2 PM and tickets are $50 per person.

“We are so excited for this new event we are bringing to Milford and especially excited about our keynote speaker, Veronica Seever,” Jo Schmeiser, Executive Director of CCGM, said. “Her story is so inspiring and she brings a wealth of knowledge about being a woman in the business world. Her topic “All the Ds:  Death, Divorce, Depression” will resonate with all women.”

The guest speaker at the event will be Ashley Adams, owner of DelMarVa Acupuncture and Wellness Center who has her own life story to tell. Adams spent 18 years in the military until a serious automobile accident not only cut short her career, but doctors told her she would never walk again.

“I was in Walter Reed and an acupuncturist came to me, offering to help,” Adams said in an interview in 2021. “Initially, I resisted, thinking this was “voodoo stuff,” but they kept hounding me. I was on my 21st surgery when she came at me one day with needles, which are the size of a cat whisker, and I decided I had nothing else to lose. It changed my life.”

The ticket price includes lunch, a swag bag and a champagne toast. Seever, the keynote speaker, has a passion for creating space for women to be women. In 2022, Seever was appointed president of the Elgin Chamber of Commerce where she initiated a business group called, SHE:  Savvy, Healthy, Empowered. Through this platform, women have joined for events such as International Women’s Day Conferences, mentor luncheons, self-defense classes and more.

“Veronica comes to us from Texas,” Schmeiser said. “I met her through a Chamber of Commerce Facebook page last year and felt her message would be perfect for our luncheon. We are so excited to bring something new that focuses on the women who keep our businesses running day after day.”

Schmeiser continued, stating that Seever is known for cheering on women, offering insights and connecting women to help them grow. She serves as an Austin Business Journal Mentor, on the Biz Women Leadership Council and was named one of the top 30 Businesswomen of Central Texas.

“Making a meaningful impact on the lives of other women serves as a pivotal motivation for her,” Schmeiser said. “She captivates audiences with her storytelling and blends real-life challenges with the humor of life, evoking both laughter and tears.”

Seever is the proud mother of a 20-year-old Texas A&M student as well. Tickets for the event can be purchased by clicking here. Sponsorships are also still available.
