Directed by David Button and John H. Hulse, with musical direction by Gail Betton Kelso, this heartwarming tale will take the stage at the Riverfront Theater, 2 South Walnut Street in Milford, DE. Performances are scheduled for July 11–13 and July 18–20. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets are $30, with a $2 discount available to seniors, students, and SSP members.
This timeless story follows 11-year-old Mary Lennox (played by Scarlett Gleason of Milford), an orphan returning from India to live in the English countryside with her distant uncle Archibald Craven (John H. Hulse of Rehoboth Beach) and his ailing son Colin (Benjamin Rose of Lewes). Amid the shadows of grief and loneliness, Mary discovers a long-hidden garden that begins to heal the hearts of those around her.
“This production taps into the magic of nature and the resilience of the human spirit,” said co-director David Button. “It’s a story that speaks to all ages.”
