Barbara Walls Jones, who spent many years as a researcher at the Milford Museum, passed away at the age of 90 on Tuesday, October 13.
Jones as born and raised in Milford. She began her career as a school teacher, leading students at what was then Avenue Kindergarten. She also worked for Burris Foods and Burris Tire. Barbara found her way to the Milford Museum where she was a wealth of knowledge when it came to Milford history.
In addition to her service at the museum, Barbara was also a master Gardener for the State of Delaware.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Merritt Pimental and her husband, Richard; her son, Gregory Jones and her granddaughter, Jessica Jones.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Jones; her daughter, Payton Renee Jones and a sister, Sandie Irons.
Services will be private. Arrangements are by Lofland Funeral Home where online condolences can be left for the family.
