The final Milford Public Library Music in the Park event, featuring Michael Christopher Country, was moved to the Milford High School Gerald Thompson Center for Performing Arts on Wednesday, July 29. The move was due to construction equipment installed as part of the library Centennial Transformation Project.
Michael Christopher is a rising country artist with three album releases and hundreds of live performances to his name. Performing nearly 100 shows each year, he has shared the stage with artists including Deana Carter, Lonestar, Gabby Barrett, and Chase Rice. His music features a mix of original songs and crowd-favorite country covers, including his No. 1 single “DNA.”

Although Music in the Park has ended for the summer, an additional concert is planned featuring the Music School of Delaware as an added musical event.

“Celebrate the close of the 2026 Music in the Park season with a special performance by faculty from The Music School of Delaware,” Lea Rosell, Executive Director of the library said. “The evening features two unique musical sets showcasing the talent and versatility of these accomplished musicians.”

The concert opens at 7:00 p.m. with Le Pain à Deux, a violin duo featuring Dr. Ian Jett and Genia Maslov, performing a selection of works for two violins. Following a brief intermission, enjoy an intimate jazz performance by vocalist Maria Rusu and guitarist Michael Raitzyk, featuring jazz standards and beloved classics.
Bring a chair or blanket and join us for this free community concert as we celebrate another wonderful summer of music.
